Until the first official day of Fall finally arrives (September 23rd, if you are curious!), we can’t escape the real feel 100+ degree Summer days. It can’t be escaped, but we can set ourselves up for a successful run by what we wear and how we recover.
When I first thought about the topic of success, my mind went directly to fitness goals and what it feels like to achieve them. Maybe that is because I am personally on a fitness journey after having a baby, but then I realized, prior to Lucy, I still found joy in celebrating small accomplishments surrounding an active lifestyle.

If you’re like me, you aren’t in the mood to eat much after a hot summer run. But it’s important to refuel! My solution: a post-run smoothie.
Smoothies are a great way to cool down while getting protein and carbohydrates into your system, which are so important for recovery. They also make it easy to work more fruits and vegetables into your diet.
