J&A Racing looks forward to welcoming participants back to the 2021 Yuengling Shamrock Marathon Weekend. As we prepare for this event, we are committed to ensuring that our participants feel safe and secure when making a choice for their race schedule.
When brainstorming ideas for enhancements for the 2020 Yuengling Shamrock Marathon Weekend, one idea became crystal clear. We needed to showcase the talent of our Creative Director, Josh Wade.
The City of Virginia Beach has a lot to consider when making decisions including the Yuengling Shamrock Marathon Weekend. We respect their process, but we can not keep our runners waiting any longer. As a company of runners, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Yuengling Shamrock Marathon Weekend. This decision has been made out of concern for our runners, volunteers, spectators, and community. While this was a very tough decision, we believe it is the right one. Our top priority is always the health and safety of everyone involved in our events.

As you head into your last long training run, our owner and race director Jerry Frostick has a few tips for you. It is important to not only be physically ready for race day but also mentally ready.
We asked our ambassador, Stephanie Quiney, to tell us about her experience as a coach for her school’s Operation Smile Shamrock Final Mile. She may be gushing about her student runners, but everything she says is about every runner. No matter the age, running has a way of connecting us all!
“All of the races listed on The BibRave 100 are shining examples of how to put on a great event, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the list,” said Tim Murphy, Co-Founder of BibRave. “Runners put a lot of time and research into planning their race calendars, and we hope The BibRave 100 is a helpful tool highlighting some truly wonderful races.”
