What is a virtual race?
A virtual race is a race that can be completed where and whenever you’d like. You can time the race on your own through an app, watch, or other timing device. You can submit your results and receive your certificate and race swag to celebrate what you’ve accomplished!
How do I recruit my gang to join me?
During the registration process, you can join or create a team. Step #2 of the registration form will ask you to select YES if you want to join or create your team.
- To create your team, select YES, and add your team name. Tip: We recommend making your team public so your gang can search for your team name
- To join a team, click Join Team and search for your team name.
When will my packet be mailed?
If you register by September 14, 2020, your packet will be mailed the week of September 15th. Anyone who registers after September 14th will have their packet mailed within one week of the date they registered.
What is included in my packet?
Your packet will include:
- Champagne Gang 5K Race tank or shirt
- Champagne Gang 5K insulated tumbler
- Champagne Gang 5K Race Bib
Can I run the race in installments?
In order to submit your results, please complete the race distance in one run/walk.
Where can I run?
You can run anywhere (that is safe, of course!). Pick your favorite trail, route, or treadmill. You’ll have the option to tell us how you run when you submit your virtual results.
How should I record my run?
You are able to submit your results via link or a photo. If you are completing your run or walk outdoors, many types of apps and watches/devices will record your distance and time. If you are using a treadmill, a photo of the display will be accepted. You can enter a link to a public page from an app, take a screenshot from your phone, or take a photo of your watch or your treadmill. Please be sure to record both your distance and time.
Can I submit my results?
You will submit your results through your participant account between September 17 – September 30, 2020. We will send out a comprehensive email with instructions on how to do so in early September. If you are completing your run or walk outdoors, many types of apps and watches/devices will record your distance and time. If you are using a treadmill, a photo of the display will be accepted. Results can be submitted between September 17 – 30, 2020
