As we prepare to turn the City of Virginia Beach green again during the 2022 Yuengling Shamrock Marathon Weekend, the safety of our community is our top priority. From the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the health and safety of our participants, volunteers, spectators, community, and staff has always been our #1 concern. We have embraced both state, local, and CDC recommendations and guidelines for all our events since March of 2020, and we will continue to follow these guidelines in all future events including the 2022 Yuengling Shamrock Marathon Weekend.
It is important to us that we continue to provide positive experiences for our participants and our community that keep us physically and mentally healthy. We are committed to producing the same quality event that you have come to expect from J&A Racing.

2022 Event Details
Registration and Packet Mailing Options for the 2022 Event
- Packet Mailing- If you want to avoid packet pickup completely, you can add packet mailing for a fee of $35 per registration for the 2022 event. Your race shirt and race bib will be mailed to your mailing address before race weekend.
- Race Day Will Call- Prefer to grab your gear race morning? Your race bib, shirt and safety pins will be preassigned and ready for you race morning for a fee of $40 per registration for the 2022 event and will be limited to 200 participants.
- Virtual options for the 8K, Half Marathon, Marathon & Challenges- If for any reason you do not feel comfortable attending the live event, you can register for or transfer your registration to the virtual category for no additional cost. We will mail you all your race swag after the event date.
*This option will only be available until the event sells out. Upon sell out, the option to switch to the virtual category will no longer be available.
- Defer Your Entry Into 2023- If you prefer to defer your 2022 entry into 2023, you are able to make that change up until the Thursday of race week for a fee.
