Santa and his elves are busy at the North Pole. While they thought 2020 would be the year to spoil everyone who is naughty and nice, this year the to-do list includes working with health officials and local government. They are diligently working to adhere to all CDC Considerations for Events and Gatherings so we can host a safe event on December 19, 2020.
Race weekend will have a different look in 2020. This year you can choose to chart your own course while granting a wish. Your participation in the 2020 Chartway Norfolk Harbor Race Weekend allows the We Promise Foundation to create a once in a lifetime, dream come true, experience for a child in need. Even though we can’t host an in-person event this year, we can still bring meaning to your miles while you a chart your own course.
September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month. Our gang at J&A Racing includes Josh Wade, Director of Creative Design and Lymphoma survivor! To honor Josh and to support the amazing work of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society | Team in Training and their fight against blood cancers, a portion of all Champagne Gang 5K registration will be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
While we hoped to host everyone this year, our highest priority will always be the health and safety of our participants, volunteers, spectators, community, and staff. The decision to shift our October events to home editions was made after working tirelessly with our state and local government, health officials, and race partners to explore all possibilities to host a safe event that includes the celebration we love.
Along with ADP and Bon Secours, J&A Racing looks forward to bringing the ADP Corporate 5K to your home office this Fall. Following current corporate culture, we are shifting our event to reflect the ongoing public health concerns brought on by the coronavirus pandemic. Run Now (from home), Work Later (from home).
