We’re excited to introduce you to all our J&A Ambassadors through our new summer series. Each week we’ll be highlighting one of our awesome J&A Ambassadors and getting to hear about their running journeys, favorite races, how they stay motivated and lots more!
Meet Ambassador Mike Nall
How did you get into running/how long have you been running?
Kind of ironic, I was in the Army for 21 years hated company PT runs and the annual 2 mile PT test. I played basketball to stay in shape. As I aged and continued to get hurt playing basketball, I decided to give it up and take up running. I have been running for 17 years.
What was the first J&A race you ever did/favorite J&A event?
2008 Shamrock Half Marathon (First race ever). The Shamrock Whale Challenge is my favorite event.
What are some of your favorite running-related products?
What advice would you give to a new runner?
Take your time building up your frequency of runs and distance. Sign up for a race well in advance and train for it. Keep a log of your runs and the miles you put on your shoes. I replace mine around 400 miles. The most important thing is to enjoy your runs.
Why do you love being a J&A Ambassador?
What’s a fun fact about you?
I have a passion for finding money on my runs. I have to say I have honed in my skills. Over the past 12 years, I have found over $360 so far!
